Building Commissioning

The building commissioning process is a third party quality-based process for achieving owner’s functional and operational requirements for automated building systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic hot water, lighting, central plants, controls, and owner designated systems.

Building commissioning is a requirement for LEED® projects and mandated for most government new construction projects to comply with current and long-term energy-efficiency and sustainability goals.

Ahtna professionals deliver commissioning services that meet or exceed owner’s requirements for energy efficient, integrated, sustainable, and fully functioning systems. We have extensive experience with execution of commissioning projects in accordance with industry standards such as the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and ASHRAE guideline “0”.

Our certified commissioning providers utilize licensed engineers, LEED® accredited professionals, certified energy managers, construction inspectors, and maintenance managers to more effectively meet client commissioning goals. Such access to in-house staff with experience in complementary professions allows us to provide customized solutions to meet the specific needs of your project.
